Oh frabjous day! Yes it is Friday!! I have survived another week. My work life is – complicated, which means I can’t really talk about it. Nevertheless, it was a rough week and we (the collective work force) are looking for the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel only to discover it is an oncoming train. We are in crunch time and the crunch is the sound of our bones breaking. But it is Friday. In my rejoicing I have to be thankful for many things. Even in the midst of chaos and gnashing of teeth I must count my blessings:
1. I have teeth. Yep they are all mine and fairly sharp too.
2. I have a job. I enjoy what I do even if I may have to reinvent my role.
3. I have a loving husband.
4. I have a loving husband who likes to grill so I don’t have to cook when I’m exhausted from work.
5. My washing machine is wonderful. It is a front loader and is quiet and efficient.
6. I got a new pair of white shoes at Sears and paid $2.13 (that is the cost including tax)!
7. I have awesome friends who will do fun things with me to make me forget work.
8. I have a Roomba that vacuums my house so that I don’t have to, that lets me do things with my friends.
9. I have a gift card for Taco Bell which lets me get a snack and feel like I didn’t spend any money (I like to pretend anyway).
10. My bathroom remodel just might happen before Christmas!!
So there you have it – my list of things that bless my life (in no particular order). What makes your Friday wonderful?
Your list made me snicker. Hooray for grilling and rhoomba.
Today is very special, but I won’t clutter your post with it. (Might actually do a blog post. Imagine that.)

My blessing was to walk outside without killing humidity. Was able to spray front yard so if that area is chinch bugs maybe I got a hand up.

I guess I’m lucky that the only bugs we have to spray the yard for are mosquitoes and only if we are having some big outdoor party…

A $2 pair of shoes ? ! 😮 How did you manage that? !
My Friday has been blessed with more rain, and less pain. 😀
Still didn’t get that phone call that I’ve been praying for though. Pray harder this weekend and hope for Monday, but have to trust in God’s timing I suppose. He sure has kept me waiting and in a test for patience and trust.
I like your list of blessings. 🙂

The shoes were at Sears and on sale for $15. There was an in store promotion for an additional 30% off, I had a coupon for $7 off any shoe or accessory purchase a,d I had ~$1.75 in shop your way rewards… thus shoes for $2.13! I’m so pleased you liked my list. I will add you to the prayer list – and hope your prayer is answered.

This is so beautiful, counting blessings in a hard and stressful time!
A few of my blessings right now is a God who is merciful and gracious even when I am always having a problem, my mother who has been my rock lately and who never complains, even though she isn’t getting a lot of the things done on her list, and a safe place to be right now while I am working through some hard stuff.

Working through the hard stuff is good. It means you are dealing with the issues at hand and are being brave. Sometimes the tough stuff is what makes us stronger. Family can really make a difference in how well we weather the storms -glad you have a safe haven and a loving support network!

My Friday is wonderful because my daughter (and her dog) comes over for dinner. So I get a good meal and an evening with someone I love. My bonus Friday blessing is looking forward to spending time with my bestie tomorrow. 😀

I would begin my blessings with thanking God for my three wonderful daughters: Valerie and Andrea and Stephanie. They would be at the top of my list for sure. I have many more blessings too…some are the same as your thoughtful list. Your father would be on it too..I was truly blessed!

We so often forget to count the good things in life and only dwell on the negatives… I have lived a charmed life compared to so many others.

Always good to count blessings, Muri. My list would be a bit different… I’m retired, my husband will eat any old casserole I throw together as long as it has cheese on top, I save a lot of money by not shopping (which is fine, because I hate shopping), my gift card is to LLBean, and no home remodeling is currently in progress. I do not have a Roomba because my dog specifically asked Santa not to bring us one. Here’s the post I wrote about it: https://justjoan42.wordpress.com/2015/12/06/a-dogs-letter-to-santa/.

My husband is very fond of cheese as well! He is watching his cholesterol so we have cut back on the cheese… I love my Roomba. I think Tailor might get used to it. With 2 dogs and a cat in the house I don’t know how I’d survive without my Roomba!
