This is a little something for Helene’s weekly photo challenge (5-7-2019). It is a Tanka having 5 lines with a syllable count of 5-7-5-7-7 and no rhyme!
wow, a tanka is a toughie, but u did a great job!

Loved how the photo paired with the poem. Also the interplay of hiding one’s body and hiding one’s illness. What is Helene’s weekly photo challenge? Was the poem ekphrastic as well as a Tanka? 🙂

There is no link to the challenge murisopsis, I do hope it will be alright for me to leave a link here since Joan is asking.

I didn’t intend it to be ekphrastic but I suppose it could be interpreted that way if you squint really hard. Helene left a link in her reply and I added the link in my post… An oversight since I was writing the post at midnight and was a tad exhausted…

A fabulous Tanka, murisopsis. Hiding has different aspects, you wrote it beautifully.
